Back to Real Life: Inside Vlad’s Social Loop

Home Blog Back to Real Life: Inside Vlad’s Social Loop

Endless scrolling. Likes without meaning. Contacts that disappear as quickly as they appear. Vlad looked at today’s social networks and saw emptiness. Platforms promised connection but delivered loneliness.

“You cannot build friendship on Instagram,” he says. “On LinkedIn, if you connect with somebody, that’s basically gone.”

That realization sparked Social Loop, an app designed to bring people back into each other’s real lives.

How Social Loop Works

The idea is simple: make it normal to “just show up.” If Vlad is co-working at a café or heading to the gym, his network can see it – and join in.

In a world where AI-generated content is flooding feeds, Vlad believes authenticity will become the most valuable currency. Authenticity lives only in real moments. Social Loop is his bridge to that future.

The Turning Point

Vlad didn’t need a survey to know the problem. He saw it daily: people around him spending hours doomscrolling, only to feel emptier afterward.

“All of these social media companies were supposed to connect people, but they do the complete opposite. Everyone ends up lonely and separated.”

Instead of accepting that reality, Vlad decided to build something new – from scratch.

Burning Man Without a Phone

One of his most transformative moments came at Burning Man, where he spent 18 days without a phone.

“Being without a phone, together with people, I learned a lot of things… maybe this is how the world is supposed to be – connected with people you care about, being present.”

That experience shaped Social Loop’s philosophy: design technology that makes real life more human, not less.

From Zero to Builder

When Vlad began Social Loop, he didn’t know how to code. Every screen, every button came through trial and error. What started as frustration became mastery.

“I decided this is what needs to exist. I opened my laptop and figured it out, brick by brick.”

Advisors later joined his journey, but the discipline remained his: persistence, problem-solving, and refusal to quit.

Why San Francisco Matters

For Vlad, San Francisco is an environment that shapes ambition.

“If I talk to five people in a café, they’re also building amazing things. The environment designs you, and being in SF pushes you towards your dreams.”

Here, trust comes from presence, not pitches. Meetings happen face-to-face, and opportunities multiply because everyone is building the future together.

Lessons From Vlad’s Journey

Build in the open. Don’t isolate – co-create with users.

Choose mentors by results. Experience beats theory.

Relationships first. Friendship before business creates stronger foundations.

Protect the vision, adapt the execution. The product evolves, but the mission stays constant.

Live where the future is built. The environment fuels ambition.

What Social Loop Represents

Vlad’s mission is clear: fight engineered loneliness by giving people tools to reconnect in real life.

“I don’t see myself doing anything else. This has to become successful – and it will be.”

For anyone tired of empty feeds and endless scrolling, Social Loop offers a rare promise: to bring people back to real life.
