Foundry's community is built around early-stage founders, but residents include solo founders, co-founders, technical builders, designers, and operators at startup-stage companies. The common thread is ambition and active building, not a specific title.
Weekly Saturday community dinners, a 4-hour Saturday mastermind session (peer accountability and goal-setting), weekend hikes around the Bay Area, monthly demo days where residents present their startups, plus ad hoc fireside chats with investors and operators.
Yes — residents regularly host small dinners, demo nights, and co-working sessions for their networks. Larger events get coordinated with house management to keep shared spaces functional for other residents.
Foundry is a rental residency, not a visa sponsor. We don't issue invitation letters for visas but can provide standard rental documentation (lease, proof of residence) once you've moved in.
A security deposit equal to one month's rent is required at move-in, refundable at move-out minus any damages. Cancellation policy depends on stay length — discussed during your application call.
Foundry is focused specifically on early-stage startup founders in San Francisco — not digital nomads or remote workers generically. The Saturday mastermind, demo days, and resident community are designed around the rhythm of building a company, not just sharing a roof.
